Happy Grandparent’s Day Coloring Pages

Welcome to Happy Grandparents Day coloring pages. Grandparents Day is celebrated in September on the first Sunday after Labor Day in order to bring honor and thank their grandparents with the awareness of their importance within the structure of the family, and to reflect on the impact grandparents have on our own lives — and on society. These Happy Grandparents Day coloring pages are perfect for grandparent’s day as they feature the history of Grandparents day and provide fun activities for kids. The idea of Grandparents Day began in 1970, when a housewife from West Virginia, Marian Lucille Herndon McQuade started a campaign to designate a special day to celebrate grandparents. Congress declared the first Sunday after Labor Day as National Grandparents Day and, on August 3, 1978, President Jimmy Carter signed the congressional proclamation and became officially a holiday. In the UK, some people are now beginning to celebrate Grandparent’s Day too! In that spirit, we attended some Happy Grandparents Day coloring pages for you and your children to celebrate the grand’s day in your life with creative lovely coloring activities for the whole family. Both Grandparent and children will have fun completing the coloring pages and have a wonderful memento of the fun time they had together.
