National Aviation Day Activities, Crafts and Coloring

On this event August 19th, we honor the miracle of the first to successful flight and its recognized inventors, Wilbur together with his brother Orville Wright (whose birthday is also on that day). They built the world’s first successful airplane with aircraft controls that enabled them to steer the plane on December 17, 1903 at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. The holiday was established in 1939 by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt to recognize the development of aviation. Every year on August 19 we appreciate the work of all aviators over the years who have worked to develop fast, safe air travel for all.
