There will be a special bank holiday to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee marking 60 years of The Queen’s reign in the United Kingdom (UK) on Tuesday, June 5, 2012. So the celebrations will be take place and extend a weekend on 2, 3, 4 and 5 June.
This event honors the 60-year reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in the UK since her accession in 1952. Queen Elizabeth will become only the second longest British Monarch to have achieved this noble milestone in over 1200 years of British History, the last was Queen Victoria in 1887.
The central weekend, 2-5 June. There will be many events held locally and on a national scale celebrating over an extended bank holiday weekend.
