Bermuda consists of around 181 chain of islands and islets, the seven largest of them are connected by bridges and causeways. Bermuda island is the oldest and one of the last remains of the once vast British overseas territory in North America since the 1600s. Located just off east coast of the United States near the coast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, in the Atlantic Ocean and are the northern-most islands in the Caribbean. Its capital city is Hamilton. Bermuda was first discovered and names after Juan de Bermudez, a Spanish sailor, in 1505, because of the dangerous reef that surrounded most of the islandshe never footed it. And was first settled by shipwrecked English colonists headed for Virginia, and claimed by Sir George Somers, in July 1609.
The Islands are composed of limestone from shells and coral built which are the peaks from an ancient volcano rising to about 200 feet below the ocean surface. Bermuda has long been known as a romantic haven. The island is characterised by small bays surrounded by a fantastic coral reef everywhere that harbors colorful fish and has ensnared numerous of shipwrecks snorkeling, making for memorable diving in Bermuda’s coastal waters an appealing prospect at spots like Elbow Beach in Paget Parish- that is, in summer when the Atlantic is warm enough to brave without a wetsuit.
Bermuda boasts balmy climate, noumerous of natural and man-made attractions like Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo that make it a popular tourist attraction both from U.S.A.and a large portion of the UK and Europe.
