Simchat Torah craft & Activities

Simchat Torah is a religious holiday that means “celebration of the Torah.” Simchat Torah is a joyful celebration of God’s Word. It occurs at the end of Sukkot and after Shemini Atzeret.
On Simchat Torah Kids and adults dance the hakafot (walk or dance in circles) around in synagogues, this includes a special dancing with the Torahs held up in the air to celebrate finishing the cycle of reading the Torah–and then starting up again from the beginning in the Jewish year.
